Right, my lovelies! I am in need of food money and anyone willing to support me with their cash is instantly awesome!
So here's what I charge for commissions:
12$ for a sketch like so [link]
check the deviation page for more sketch info.
22$ for a simplistic painting along the lines of this [link] or this [link]
One character, lineless, either colourful paint splatter instead of a background, or a simplified background. 5$ for an extra character?
Here I'll show you a sketch before actually painting.
20$ for a flash vector like so? [link]
Up to 3 characters me thinks?
Other stuff I can do:
I can draw with watercolour pencils. I'd just draw a character without a background that I would then scan, "cut out" and give you a png. Those would cost you 15$, but I haven't got a preview at the moment.
Well, I can model in 3D, but it's a long, painful process and I wouldn't even be sure what price to put on it.
I could.. make custom flash animations I suppose. But I wouldn't expect anyone to want those without a preview of some kind.
Currency and payment
I use Paypal.
As you might have noticed, I live in the UK, so whatever money you give me would be converted into pounds in my account. If you're using a currency other than dollars, I'd say just check how much you'd have to give me through the cash converter in google and pay that. It seems like a simpler solution than having money converted twice.
As for when you pay, here's how it goes:
you send me a request,
I confirm that I'm doing it.
when I'm done I send you a low-res preview (no doubt with annoying watermarks plastered all over it, or something along the lines),
you confirm you like it,
then you send me the cash and I send you a lovely high-quality high-res piece.
If it's a painting, I'd also send you a sketch to approve before I start the painting process (which won't be as detailed as a sketch commission, if anyone gets any funny ideas).
With the actual sketch commissions, I'll send you a 300 dpi scan and try to make it look as decent as I can. Once again, you can also get the original mailed to you if you agree to cover the postal cost.
What I will and won't draw
I won't draw anything remotely erotic, suggestive or over-sexualised. It has to be clean that way.
Apart from that... try me!
I'll quite happily draw furries, sparkle dogs and all sorts of things. Gore is okay, providing you're not expecting particularly mad skills in that area. I'm not particularly amazing at drawing men, but I'll give it a try.
Style-wise, I won't draw manga/anime. I will draw any character, but in my style. Here's an alright example of what to expect [link]
As for ponies, I've started drawing them in a style that's very close to the one in the show, but there will be some subtle differences.
Other legal stuff
By commissioning me you're giving me the right to display the resulting work in my portfolio and my DA gallery. However, the copy I display will only be half the size of the image you get (by resolution, not cropping).
Exceptions can be made, but this has to be decided on before I start working on the image.
I also reserve the right to reject any commission. This isn't at all likely, but I thought I'd put the information out there just in case something strange and unpredictable happens.
Other thoughts?
Well, I've never done commissions in my life and I'm absolutely terrified! I can relate to Fluttershy so much right now it isn't even funny! I'd suggest commissioning me if you'd like to help me out and you aren't likely to reject the final piece if I manage to screw something up and it falls beneath your expectations. I will try and treat each one of these like a portfolio piece, but as much as I'd really like to, I can really guarantee quality consistency.
P.S. Oh, and I don't have a computer at home. I use the machines here at my university. The labs sometimes have short working hours, so if I haven't gotten back to you as soon as you would have liked, that's probably the reason.
